Buddy Bailey and his wife Heather were born and raised in Alaska--both are fourth generation Alaskans with a strong family legacy of commitment to The Last Frontier. In 1984, Buddy's grandparents Coy and Ruth Bailey came to Alaska as Palmer colonists and some of the first settlers of the Butte area. In 1990, Buddy's father Ron Bailey started a furniture company out of his garage that would later become Alaska-renowned Bailey's Furniture.
Buddy has carried his family's legacy from the young age of 7 years old, when he starred in a TV commercial for Bailey's Furniture that was an instant success. In 2007, Buddy graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing/Marketing Management. He continued his TV career for Bailey's Furniture during that time and in 2007 became active in management, business development, and marketing. In 2010, Buddy became the Vice President of Bailey's Furniture, overseeing all marketing, personnel, and store visits, monitoring operations at all locations.
Buddy's time at Bailey's Furniture let him experience first-hand the ups and downs of being a small business owner in Alaska, and the challenges of growth. In 2013, Buddy struck out on his own and put his experience to practice as an agent with New York Life, cultivating growth for his fellow Alaska business owners. His mission is to work with business owners to help them leverage their money, keep it liquid, and develop a strategy for putting their business away when the time comes for retirement. His passion lies in financial education, showing people the options they have to enjoy a happy retirement no matter their present financial situation. His financial licensing also allows him to assist small business owners with various insurances for themselves and their employees including life and health.
Buddy and Heather have two children. Their daughter Emma is 10 years old and their son Preston is 3. The Bailey family is heavily involved in their local community. Buddy serves on multiple boards, including the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, Wasilla Lake Christian School, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the YMCA in Anchorage. He also coaches for multiple youth basketball teams in the Mat-Su Valley. Buddy's hobbies include basketball, fly-fishing, and spending time with his wife and kids.
